§ 27-128. Floodlighting equipment supplied by the city.

  • (a)

    Applicability. This section and section 27-129 shall apply to service to customers contracting with the city for directional security lighting service from floodlighting equipment supplied by the city.

    (b)

    Mounting. The floodlighting equipment shall be mounted only on city-owned or city-controlled poles.

    (c)

    Design. The floodlighting equipment shall be of standard designs employed by the city.

    (d)

    Type of service. A floodlighting fixture shall require 120/240 volts; single phase; alternating current; 60 hertz; and be available to the premises to be served. The lamps are designed to burn from dusk to dawn. Upon notice from the customer, the city shall furnish and install lamp renewals. All necessary service and maintenance shall be furnished by the city during the regular working hours of the city.

    (e)

    Liability. In case the city shall be prevented from delivering electric energy at any time, it shall not be liable in damages to any person. The service provided under this section and section 27-129 may not be continuous, and the city shall not be liable if such service is interrupted by damage to, or defect of, the equipment, including normal lamp burnout, or because of interruptions or defects in electric service, even if such interruptions or defects are caused by, or are the responsibility of, the city.
