§ 8-37. Inspections office and building official position created.

(a)

The inspections office and the position of building official are hereby created. The building official shall be appointed by the public works director, with the approval of the mayor.

(b)

It shall be the duty of the building official to enforce the provisions of this chapter.

(c)

The building official shall have the authority to designate inspectors, who shall have powers as delegated by the building official.
