§ 2-301. Established.

It is declared to be the policy and purpose of the city to extend the provisions of R.S. 17:1731 et seq., providing retirement to eligible officers and employees of the city. In pursuance of such policy and for such purpose, the officers and employees of the city shall take such action as may be required by applicable state laws or regulations.
